Named for the pine (cemara) trees along its shore, Cemara Kecil is a small, uninhabited island fringed by soft white sand and shallow water that shifts through shades of turquoise depending on the light.
There’s no jetty here, so getting ashore means wading in from the boat — easy enough since the water around the island stays shallow and calm, with healthy coral reef just beneath the surface that’s popular for a relaxed snorkel between stops.
Together with its neighbour Cemara Besar, it’s a favourite sandbar stop on the Half Day Sea Tour — a peaceful spot to wade, swim, and take in the scenery in between the day’s other snorkeling sessions.
