Geleang Island sits southwest of the main Karimunjawa Island, roughly 20 minutes away by boat, and is easy to recognise from its long, tapering strip of white sand that stretches out into the sea like a tongue of land.
The island is uninhabited and its 24 hectares are mostly left wild, so the beach and the shallow, clear water around it stay in good natural condition — a quiet contrast to some of the busier stops on an island-hopping day.
It’s the usual lunch stop on the Full Day Sea Tour and Open Trip, where the crew grills freshly caught fish right on the beach in the local fishermen’s style, giving guests a proper break to eat, swim, and relax between snorkeling sessions.
