How to Get to Karimunjawa

Karimunjawa is about 80 to 100 kilometers northwest of the coastal town of Jepara, Central Java. The main route is to take a bus, car, or shuttle service from nearby cities such as Semarang or Yogyakarta to Jepara, then continue by boat to the islands.

Boat Transfer

Crossing to the Islands

Access is available via boat from Kartini Port (Jepara) or from Semarang. Travel time depends on the type of boat:

Speedboat (Express Bahari)

Approximately 2 to 2.5 hours from Kartini Port, Jepara.

Regular Ferry (KMP Siginjai)

Approximately 4 to 5 hours from Kartini Port, Jepara.

Pelni Ship (from Semarang)

Approximately 6 to 7 hours.
